The most important step in installing an alarm system is to plan correctly. This is normally done by looking at the floor plan of the building, then determining optimal areas for coverage with the alarm system. These often include the main entry points, anterooms, windows and other vulnerable parts of the building. This knowledge is supplemented by walking around the building and looking for these points. From that information, we can then help our customers decide what type of alarm panel and how many zones are needed. Be mindful that it is wise to choose an alarm panel with extra zones to allow for future expansion.
Once the main alarm zones of the system are decided, it is time to think about where to position the panel and/or remote keypad. Two of our specialities are identifying optimal locations for mounting the sensors and isolating the neatest and easiest way to run the cables back to the panel. If require in your structure, it may also prove necessary to decide where to mount the bell box and internal sounders.
Every alarm is unique and placed in various secured locations to avoid any possible standard break in.
