Low Voltage Guys wire new buildings and re-wire existing facilities with unshielded twisted pair (UTP), shielded twisted pair (STP), coaxial, triaxial, or fiber optic cables. UPT cables range from telephone-grade wire to high-speed network cables, and are designated as category 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 cables. We use RJ-45 connectors.
Low Voltage Guys installs UPT cables for local area networks (LAN). We recommend category 3, 4, or 5 cables. Category 3 (cat 3) cables meet or exceed the specifications in the ANSI / TIA/ EIA-568-A telecommunications cabling standard for commercial buildings. Category 5 (cat 5) cables provide speeds up to 100 MHz and data transfer rates up to 100 Mbps. They can be used with either 10BaseT or 100BaseT Ethernet. Other available Ethernet types include: 10Base2, 10BaseFL, 100BaseTX, and 100BaseFX. With Network wiring and cabling services that specialize in 1000BaseT, 100BaseLX, and 1000BaseSX, our installations adhere to IEEE specifications for Gigabit Ethernet over copper wire.
Low Voltage Guys uses many different products for structured cabling systems. UTP patch cables and fiber optic patch cables can be used to connect personal computers (PC) to electrical outlets, and patch panels to network hubs. Patch panels provide switching functions for both incoming and outgoing lines. UTP horizontal cables are made from solid-conductor wires and designed for in-wall installation. We offer network wiring and cabling services, and can also install cabling cabinets, equipment racks, wireways, and cable troughs. Cabling cabinets, rack accessories, and enclosure cables are used to house and protect a large number of network or cable connections. Wireways and cable troughs are designed to protect electrical wires from dust, dirt, water and oil.
